Virgo Rising – February 2013
This month sees the Sun and Venus passing through your 6th house and into your 7th so much of your energy early on in the month will be focused on issues of everyday work, routine and health before the matter of relationships come into sight. Much of your energies early in February will be aimed at doing whatever you have to do correctly and efficiently. You may have to serve to someone else's wishes be it your boss or a customer or client that you have to deal with. Your focus will be very much on work and routine matters, and as a result your partner may complain from a lack of attention from you. At work however, thing should be going smoothly with your co-workers and your boss, simply because of the amount of graft that you are putting in. Health wise, you should also be ok, although you may find yourself putting on the odd pound or kilogram as Venus loosens your desire to diet and to take up exercise.
Mercury and Mars’ position moving most of the month through the 7th house allows you to discuss through any potential issues that is affecting your relationship. Now is a time not to go it alone in any project and having a partner or someone to help you will aid you to succeed in any ventures. Business deals and agreements can be entered into with a degree of confidence, as you will be in a mood to examine any issues in a careful and thorough manner. Relations with your spouse or permanent partner could be fun but tense and prone to arguments. In a romantic sense, this is a great time to enjoy being with your partner and so any activity or adventure you share with them should be a fun experience. On the 12th through until the 16th February, both Mercury and Mars make constructive trines to Saturn, so any ideas you have with your partner or spouse can now be acted on with confidence. Mercury turns retrograde on 23rd may start a time when you might have to revisit old issues with a partner, rewriting contracts or maybe just having to put up with someone else’s point of view. The Full Moon in Virgo on 25th arrives in your 1st house square to Jupiter and this will be a chance for a bit of “me” time, putting your needs ahead of others and sorting out what you want to do. The impulse to do your own thing is very strong, but what happens now could have ramifications with your spouse, with a partner or with somebody who changes the rules at work. It is possible that they may make a decision denying your need for independence. This full Moon could indicate the end of an association in your life, be it work wise or with somebody you know personally.
This February, Jupiter finally turns direct in Gemini and on the 18th Saturn in Scorpio finally ceases its current period of direct motion and turns retrograde. Jupiter is passing through your 10th house of work, career, your father and personal recognition and at last you can look at expanding your role at work, possibly improving your pay and conditions and relations with senior people. This will be a time of slow growth at least to start with as Jupiter will only start to pick up the pace of it’s movement in March. Nevertheless, it’s a good time for laying down the groundwork for potential gains in the future. Your relationship with your father and with elderly people will be better than it has been for a while. Saturn is your 3rd house of communication, local issues, local travel and brothers and sisters heralding a time where you can rebuild or repair a troubled relationship with your siblings or with neighbours. Now is also the time to think about how you communicate. Are you being too demanding in the way you are treating people, or maybe excessively passive? To get all that you want to achieve, you may have to adjust your thought processes now.
