Taurus Rising – February 2013
In this month the Sun is passing through your 10th house of work and career. You should feel quite confident about your work and public situation early in February and now would be a good time to make plans for the future and consult with superiors to see how you might progress in your career. The likelihood is that you may be more in the spotlight or you may have to accept some new responsibilities; it will be likely that you will be more visible to those around you in your workplace than has been the case in the past, whether you like it or not. This transit is moving through one of the parental houses so issues involving your parents, or more pertinently your father could be of importance. Venus is also spending most of the month in this house bringing a chance of good relations with work colleagues and bosses. It is entirely possible that you may be involved now in some creative or social aspect of your work, be it in design or in public relations of some kind. Older people can be a source of comfort now and you may use their experience to help you progress in life. The New Moon in Aquarius on 10th February may be a focused time for a lot of these work issues, however on the 11th Venus makes a square to Saturn and you may find yourself on the receiving end of harsh words from co-workers or your employer.
Mercury quickly enters your 11th house joining Mars in Pisces and this will make you think about your position and how you are succeeding (or not) in you life goals. You may be dealing or cooperating with groups of people or maybe companies much more now. If you need inspiration, then it could be provided by friends or by younger people who may see life slightly differently than you do. You may ask them for assistance during this time, as you work out in your own mind where you stand and how effective you are within teams and associations where you are a member. Indeed, teamwork and cooperation is now highlighted in February, although your instinct will be to want to take the lead in these activities. Try not to be too domineering in this. Be a little wary of what you are told by friends groups or companies towards the end of the month, as Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde on 23rd February. Gossip and rumours will be everywhere now & it may be tricky for you to distinguish between what is the truth and what are lies, and just who is telling the truth. The full Moon on 25th occurs in Virgo in your 5th house square to Jupiter. This highlights children, your love life love or your artistic talents, one or all of which may be affected or benefited in some way by someone’s generosity of spirit or by their financial benevolence.
Jupiter and Saturn take prominence in February as Jupiter finally turns direct in Gemini and Saturn turns retrograde on 18th February in Scorpio. Jupiter is in your 2nd house of money, possessions and self worth and you should start to see an improvement in your income and spending power and thus in your overall confidence, although I don’t think that Jupiter’s effects will be properly felt until March. Saturn is your 7th house of partners, open enemies and marriage, and now and in the next 4 and a half months you can look in a cold light at what is working in these areas of life and what is not. If you relationship has been in trouble, take time to sit down and to try and work out what is wrong. Saturn slows the pace of life so that you can do this. In any one to one business relationship you can now renegotiate the terms that you are working under. If anyone is opposing you, this is a great time to set the record straight and to take these people and matters head on.
