Scorpio Rising – December 2012
The Sun is moving through your 2nd house through the first three weeks of December, so issues of money finances and the things in life that you find valuable and precious will be important to you. This includes you own personal possessions that you may want to show off to others; you may indeed have the impulse to go out and purchase or acquire something that will make you feel better, especially on or around the 3rd as the Sun opposes Jupiter. Sharing your own values and ideals to others is fine, but remember you can go too far and become overbearing and rather obnoxious, so try and remember to be more humble and moderate in your actions. This is generally a good time for business and financial transactions, so shopping trips and sorting out your personal finances will be on your agenda. The New Moon in Sagittarius on 13th elaborates on and strengthens these themes. In the last week of December, life will get busy as local issues, neighbours as well as your brothers and sisters all take your attention.
In the first week of December, Mercury is passing through your 1st house so you will be feeling quite assertive and your will be quite tempted to express your views rather forthrightly. Mercury makes a square to Neptune as it moves into Sagittarius on 11th, so there may be communication problems with the family or with your mother. As Mercury moves into your 2nd house your emphasis shifts towards matters of money, finance and personal possessions. This is a beneficial time for commercial and financial transactions, so shopping and sorting out your personal finances will be high on your agenda; business negotiations are also highlighted now. Mercury on the 14th connects with Uranus in an easy trine. If you have children, they may be more uncontrollable than usual and if you are artistic, this is a brilliant time to express your creative skills.
Venus is in your 1st house for the first two weeks of the month. This could be a considerably busier month than November was, as you start to connect with more friends and people you know. Remember to stand up for yourself, and don’t let them try to overpower you in setting the agenda, as this could be likely. As Venus enters Sagittarius on 14th, it will square to Neptune. This is a dreamy, subtle and disorientating aspect and you may discover that hidden issues with family members, especially female ones, as they come to light may disappoint you greatly. Three days later, Venus makes an easier trine to Uranus. With Christmas coming up, this is a very sociable aspect and you will be able to let go and enjoy yourself fully.
Mars is passing through Sagittarius and your 3rd house of travel, local issues and brothers and sisters throughout December, so I can imagine you will be making a lot of car journeys or short trips around your local area and region than normal. Your phone maybe ringing off the hook, and your email and mailboxes could be unexpectedly full; invitations to festive events should be aplenty.
The full Moon at the end of the month on 28th in Cancer occurs in your 9th house of faith, travel and knowledge. This is a powerful full Moon as it is opposite to Pluto and square to Uranus. Your efforts to expand your life through knowledge and learning could be halted by work commitments or by problems with brothers and sisters and your personal beliefs may be put under scrutiny as unexpected events in your workplace or from work colleagues force you to reassess what you believe in.
