Capricorn Rising – December 2012
During the month of December, the Sun is transiting through Sagittarius and your hidden 12th house, before crossing your ascendant and emerging into your own rising sign and your 1st house of the self. For you, this is the end of the solar cycle and subconsciously you will want to withdraw away for a while and you may find trusting others rather difficult. In the same way, you will prefer to keep your opinions to yourself in the first half of the month. If you are feeling a little confused and bewildered now, try and work out why. Old habits die hard, especially those ones that still affect you from your childhood years. If you can dispel those ingrown fears now, the next cycle of your life will be far more rewarding. In a way, it is time to review what happened to you recently and plan ahead so that you can move on in a more positive manner in the future. The Sun opposes generous Jupiter on 3rd December and this may see you wanting to serve, help or give your time to people less fortunate than yourself. The new Moon on 13th may be a very soothing influence and may open your eyes to past events that that you know you have to get over. Finding a quiet environment to soak in this new energy and to find answers in your soul is a good idea.
Mercury begins December in your 11th house of friends, groups, hopes and ambitions, so associates and friends may rely on your words now, or you may need assistance from them; this is a time of networking. Mercury moves into a square to Neptune on 11th as it moves into Sagittarius, and any advice and messages given to you now may be clouded, confused or even deceptive. Be careful what you believe is true. As Mercury enters your 12th house, it is starting to reach the end of its cycle around your chart as well. Naturally you will subconsciously want to withdraw away for a while and you may find that trusting others is rather difficult. Why? It could be because you may feel that whatever you say may be used by others and against your best interests. As such, you will prefer now to keep your thoughts and opinions more to yourself. Mercury and Uranus make a trine on 14th and you may gain inspiration from women or your mother. Watch out for unusual events surrounding family members, or unexpected incidents that happen at home.
Venus will moving in your 11th house for the first fortnight of December so you could be relying on might be friends, groups, teams and associations that you are part of. Venus enters Sagittarius on the 14th making a square to Neptune, and these friends or groups might not be reliable, especially if you ask them to do a favour for you. At this point, Venus enters your 12th house, so you will start to withdraw a bit socially to spend some more time on your own. You will be in more of a giving mood now, willing to help loved ones in any way possible. Venus and Uranus are in a trine on 19th Dec, and you may want at this point to get away from any family influences to have a little independence and time to yourself.
Mars throughout December is moving through your 1st house, so you will be rather assertive and possibly a little selfish towards others. Mars here encourages you to go after what you want in a rather impatient way. You will have a great store of energy to use up, so any tasks you have to do will be attempted in forthright manner, and your will to win will be more noticeable now than normal.
The intense Full Moon on the 28th in Cancer occurs in your 7th house of relationships. This could be an interesting couple of days as your partner and you battle for some sort of control. With Mars in your first house making you impulsive, and Uranus in your 4th square to this new Moon seeking independence and freedom within your home environment, there is the potential for major disagreements. This full Moon is opposed to Pluto, so you may attempt to undermine your nearest and dearest – try and resist the temptation to do so.
